In the 2006 Sony Bravia TV ad, award winning director Jonathan Glazer blasted 70,000 litres of environmentally-friendly paint across a block of the flats using fireworks, creating paint explosions. The clean-up took five days and involved sixty people. A joyous use of colour; perhaps it’s rather ironic that such effort went into creating a painterly performance to promote television. The high-rise flats in Queen’s Court, Toryglen, Glasgow Scotland have since been demolished.
